William H Brown Elementary School is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)’s School & Youth program to help create a world without cancer.  Last year, over 559 schools across Illinois joined together and raised over $781,000 to support the LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

With your donation, you will help thousands of children battling cancer right here in Illinois, like our Honored Hero Martez. In 2009, Martez was diagnosed with leukemia and endured several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Martez is now in his last year of treatment and will be in the second grade this fall. Click here to watch a special video about his brave fight.

You can help other kids just like Martez by donating to our campaign.  Please click on the link shown below to make a donation.  Over 75% of all funds raised go directly to the mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  All donations are tax deductible.

I would like to say, “Rest in peace” to Trayvon Martin.
We wouldn't be saying this if Zimmerman had not had the gun and started sparking.
Its like the crime is a virus now everybody's coughing.
Now a black mother has to see her own son in a coffin.
At 17 they had to end his story.
I'm saying this to show most black people justice not just the fame and the glory.

Our Students Made a Documentary Video in the Adobe Youth Voices Program - Take a Look!

After learning about the achievement gap in class, a crew of five students decided to take a road trip to find out what other young people thought about America's racial achievement gap. They interviewed students from three schools, hoping their words might inspire others to pay more attention to this important issue.

Congratulations Brown!
We raised over $600 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

William H Brown Elementary School is participated in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS)'s  School & Youth program to help create a world without cancer.  The money raised will help children battling cancer right here in Illinois, like our Honored Hero Bailee. In 2008, Bailee was diagnosed with leukemia and endured several rounds of chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Many medications and doctor visits later, Bailee is now in remission and enjoying the 5th grade.
